Not A Big Fan Of Thinking Things Through
Well, gang, once again we had transmission issues this morning. The show came through but the sound and picture were totally garbled. Just FYI, when Y&R came on after DOOL, the transmission was better, so maybe there is Hope for a better recap tomorrow. Anyway, as far as today's episode goes, we'll do our best...Phillip and Stephanie talk. Get used to it. That's about how exciting this whole recap is going to be.
Will and Mia. Rafe joins them.
EJ and Sami argue. Nicole watches.
Rafe and Will talk. Evidently Mia couldn't take Will's moodiness and Rafe's brooding, so she has left.
Sami and EJ continue to argue. Nicole looks confused. I'm confused. She ought to try listening to the conversation with the sound garbled. Come to think of it, the show probably makes more sense this way.
Sami questions Nicole about her feelings about her little girl.
We go through angst with Phillip and Stephanie. They discuss Victor firing Phillip and then wanting him back. Stephanie insists Tony's death was an accident. She wants to know when it ends. Phillip says, "This is my family. This is who I am."
Stephanie says, "Right. Then I guess this is goodbye."
Rafe dispenses advice to Will. Will offers Rafe a beer. Rafe declines. Will says something about diapers. Perhaps it was best we didn't catch that line.
Mia bumps into Dr. Baker at what appears to be the Java Café. He asks why she came back to town so soon. "Because," says Mia, "I'm a minimum wage actress and they can afford to have me on the show."
The EJ, Sami, Nicole gripefest continues. Nicole thinks it makes sense if Sami wants to take Johnny home. Johnny stands at the head of the stairs and tells Nicole to keep her mouth shut. Nicole says she wants Sami to bring Johnny to the wedding. Sami isn't sure she can cope with the hardship of actually having to watch a kid for more than a few minutes.
Rafe says he isn't mad, he's just worried about Sami.
Sami is surprised EJ and Nicole are still going through with the wedding. Nicole says she and EJ want to think positive. She insists the wedding will be magical. EJ chimes in and doesn't look too thrilled about the prospect of being Mr. Nicole Walker. Sami butts in as EJ and Nicole bicker. Nicole tells her this is a private matter.
Phillip points out that Stephanie breaks up with him every other day and says it's losing its effect. That does it. Stephanie swings the door open so he can leave. He gives her a parting shot as Stephanie bawls. They exchange a few more looks, Stephanie does some more bawling and Phillip gives her a cheekie peck and leaves. Stephanie has a meltdown on the couch.
As Stephanie spews, Chelsea arrives and asks what happened. Stephanie chokes it out.
Mia tells Dr. Baker why she left Japan and came back. She says it's hard to talk about the baby.
The tension between Will and Rafe eases and they begin the inevitable bonding process prior to Rafe and his mom hooking up. Rafe says, "Nothing about your mother is simple, Will. Nothing."
"How could it be," asks Will, "The woman has 127 personalities. And none of them likes to take care of kids."
Nicole goes into a rage and bugs out. Sami seems to kind of defend her to EJ.
MacDonald Carey says, "We will return for the second half of Days Of Our Lives in just a moment." I know that wasn't very meaningful, but it's one of the few things I've understood in this whole garbled mess.
Stephanie and Chelsea debrief on the agony we have just been through with her and Phillip. In other words, brace yourself, because you get to go through the whole thing all over again. Chelsea wonders if Phillip wanted to work Stephanie into a position of breaking up with him.
Will finds Mia at the Java Café.
Nicole and EJ are back together in the rumpus room. The rumpus they are having doesn't seem to be very friendly.
Sami is back with Rafe. Rafe bounces Grace around and asks if Sami is happy. Sami either gives an intelligent answer or gargles Listerine... I can't tell. Sami says something and really intense dramatic music plays in the background.
Stephanie and Chelsea continue to beat the dead horse named Phillip.
EJ and Nicole talk about their relationship. They bicker about Nicole's testimony that Tony's death was an accident. Nicole blubbers, "I'm tired of all this."
A gal in the audience leans over to the gal in the seat next to her, "I can relate to that."
Rafe is upset with Sami, "You're not a big fan of thinking things through." He thinks she should tell EJ.
Stephanie and Chelsea rake us over the coals again.
Will emphasizes the fact that Grace is adopted and Mia lectures him for that. She says Grace will need to feel like a part of the family until she's old enough to see how wacky the family is. Mia continues to drone, "There is something about her..." We'll be hearing that from Mia for the next six months, but only if we're lucky. If not, they could drag this out for years.
Rafe says he doesn't like EJ. Sami, of course, doesn't like Nicole. Rafe says Sam can't use Grace to get back at her. "From the moment I was pregnant," says Sami, "I decided EJ should never find out the truth."
EJ is upset that Nicole didn't tell him about Sydney's doctor. Nicole thinks that shouldn't be a big deal. Nicole, however, is upset that Stefano is mad because she didn't lie about Phillip. EJ gets snotty and tells her she has to get with the DiMera program.
Phillip is at the Kiriakis mansion. There is a knock at the door. He opens it to find Stephanie standing there ready for another heapin' helpin' o' lip. Phillip is happy to oblige.
Will gets up to get more coffee and Baker comes back to the Java Café and finds Mia.
Nicole and EJ talk about calling off the wedding. EJ says there was a time he was 100% sure they were on the right path, but now he's not. Nicole wails, "What am I supposed to do?" She falls in EJ's arms. Cold EJ hugs her and leaves. Nicole breaks down and collapses into the new chair in the rumpus room (she had the rubber baby buggy bumper converted into an overstuffed chair).
Rafe says he knows Sami is looking out for Grace's best interests. Sami says, "Telling EJ the truth now is worse than it would have been telling him before. And telling him tomorrow is worse than telling him today. And telling him next month is worse than telling him tomorrow. And telling..."
Rafe screams, "OK! OK! I GET THE IDEA! " He still thinks Sami should tell, though.
Sami explodes, "This isn't our decision! It's mine." She runs out. Rafe shares a tender moment with Grace and leaves.
Sami comes back out, "Look Rafe..." No Rafe.

Beer and diapers – quite the combo.
He asks why she came back to town so soon. "Because," says Mia, "I'm a minimum wage actress and they can afford to have me on the show."
…so that’s why we get to see so much of Melanie. At least Mia is kind of charming and cute.
"Nothing about your mother is simple, Will. Nothing."
"How could it be," asks Will, "The woman has 127 personalities. And none of them likes to take care of kids."
Another truism straight from the desk of Prevuze.
Sami either gives an intelligent answer or gargles Listerine... I can't tell.
Since she is incapable to giving an intelligent answer, I think Prevuze should go with Sami gargling Listerine.
Rafe is upset with Sami, "You're not a big fan of thinking things through." He thinks she should tell EJ.
…and Rafe isn’t a big fan of being consistent. I do believe he was upset with Sami for wanting to tell EJ about Grace because the macho FBI leather jacket wearing dudesicle had risked his overly muscled body and life to protect her secret in the witless protection program. Geez. When it comes to the DOOL writers, short term memory is the first to go.
"From the moment I was pregnant," says Sami, "I decided EJ should never find out the truth."
Before Stefano interrupted them, wasn’t Sami about to make EJ’s day by telling him about Grace? Please refer to previous rant about the writers’ short term memory loss.
Sami comes back out, "Look Rafe..." No Rafe.
Along with the all the frustrated viewers, Rafe has left the building. Hopefully, he will take us with him.
OMG, say it isn’t so! We’re going to have to watch every angst filled moment to find out what happens. The questions is – do we care? Thanks Prevuze for trying to fill in the blanks!

I think Prevuze is on to something. The show does seem more entertaining with unintelligible sound.
Another great caption for the HoRo picture. Prevuze is getting a lot of mileage from that one. lol
Not only did Prevuze take another one for the team, but did it under extreme circumstances. Bless you!
on a continuation from yesterday (and I'm no artist so no pics)
pic of Sami
COPE
pic of Nicole
MOPE
pic of Kate
SOAP (she is so dirty!)
and just for the heck of it can we see a pic of POPE?
Geez, at this point when Phillip opened the door and Stephanie was there I almost expected her to do her best Glenn Close and say "I'm not going to be ignored." She did everything yesterday but chain him to the sofa to have him move in with her.
LOL over the Marlena/Squints and Brady on LSD pictures. HAHAHAHA
Yes, this really was taking one for the team having to sit thru such a mixed up transmission. Thanks! And hats off to Prevuze! :D
In the last preview Chelsea says "Philip will have to live with his guilt" and EJ says, "LIVE with his guilt, see!? Philip gets to LIVE!!!"
I love the translation of Prevuze previews. HAHAHAHA
