Trying To Get Back On Track

We continue to look for a way to get the show in advance of the time it airs in the US. We are exploring every avenue, including trying to find a new Canadian team member to help us get the feed early. We are also looking at the possibility of installing additional satellite equipment and remain hopeful we may be able to find a feed with our existing equipment.

It will probably take a while to get back on track. In the meantime, we'll try to keep you up to date with all the exciting action from Salem. In that vein, here is a quick recap of all the significant action that has taken place since we last posted:

OK, since there has been no significant action, here are some of the other things you might want to know...

On the show that aired on Thursday:

Steve and Caroline get together and make excuses for Kayla being off the show. She's taking a few days off to be with L'il Joe. After that they'll dump him on Maggie, Alice and Caroline.

Steve informs Caroline he has a new website because he's starting a new business, "I'm going to be a private eye. Well, actually one of them is private, the other is undercover."

Melanie informs Max she doesn't like Stephanie. Likewise. But Melanie does think Nick is cute. Max threatens to call Trent when Melanie tells him Tiffany won't drop the charges.

Trent calls Nick. Nick tells him he had to leave town on family business. Trent asks where he is.

Daniel insists it's over with him and Kate. Chelsea doesn't want him to touch, "I just need to think." She catches Theo as he runs from Lexie.

Patch says he doesn't have many marketable skills. Not to many non-marketable skills either. Caroline thinks he'll make a fortune with all the cheating husbands and wives in Salem. Steve tells her he doesn't want that kind of business, "I think I can specialize in working for all the girls whose mothers and grandmothers were hookers and who are out fooling around with their boyfriends. There's a lot of that going on lately." He also tells her, "Kayla is concerned about Stefano. She sleeps with one ear open lately. She has a Patch over the other one."

Max and Melanie continue to argue about him calling Trent. She does a 180 and dares him to call but Tiffany shows up and brings the childishness to a halt.

Patch tells Caroline he is going to be there every step of the way with L'il Joe, "But I could do without the 3AM feedings. I'm never hungry at 3AM." They talk about Max and Stephanie on their trip.

Nick hems, haws and hangs up on Trent.

In the kind of lame coincidence that can only happen in Salem, Trent approaches Patch and asks about PI work. Trent wants him to help find Nick.

Chelsea holds Theo in a vice grip. "Boys can be a handful," says Kate, "When they're with me their hands are usually full." Chelsea offers to take care of Theo. Theo throws a fit and Lexie takes him off. Kate decides they all need to talk. Chelsea can't wait to hear what she has to say about her little romp with Daniel.

Patch and Trent discuss Nick. Trent says he is disturbed by Nick's disappearance, and thinks he could be in Europe... perhaps France. Patch is gruff, "I get two-fifty a day plus expenses."

Trent tells him, "Do a good job and I'll give you $3."

Patch overwhelms us with cheesy PI lingo, "I'll take a check as long as I can't play handball with it." Trent asks about Stephanie and says he knows her.

Tiffany recognizes the famous racecar driver Max Brady. Melanie says Max would like to make things up to her over dinner. Stephanie comes back and Max introduces her as his cousin. Tiffany says she will drop the charges against Max and his cousin Stephanie as long as Max goes out with her.

Daniel claims the thing with Kate was just a fling. Chelsea is insulted by Kate's apology. The audience is insulted by Chelsea's existence.

Max reluctantly agrees to date tiffany. Stephanie blows her stack. Max assures the Tiffster he's ready for their big night out as she bails him out. "Yeah," says a cynical Stephanie, "He was born ready. Melanie taunts.

Lexie asks what's up. Daniel rattles off some information about a patient. Lexie interrupts him, "If there are two things I don't understand it's medicine and patients. I thought maybe you might want to share." Daniel says he isn't big on sharing. He then prepares to share Salem's biggest bombshell and tells her he slept with Kate. Lexie drops her jaw, "WOW!"

Daniel asks, "Glad you asked?"

Trent tells Patch he knows Max, too. Patch says he doesn't like Max very much but he and Max stay out of each other's way. He's philosophical about Stephanie dating Max, "She's still young. Not like she's gonna marry the guy." They trade cards. Patch says he will be in touch.

After Trent leaves, Patch tells Caroline Trent hired him to find Nick. He says he knows they are all in France and says he agreed because this is the best way for him to keep an eye on Stephanie.

Stephanie complains to Nick about Melanie. Max and Tiff sit behind them and Tiffany uses Max for a Jungle Gym.

Max is reluctant to play ball. Tiff says, "I'm not going to jump you in front of your girlfriend, unless you're into threesomes. I'm not trying to steal you. I'm just trying to have some fun." She tells him a secret: she had already decided to drop the charges.

Nick starts to tell Stephanie Trent called but Melanie interrupts.

Daniel says he doesn't want to lose Chelsea, "Kate and I never dated. We just went straight to the monkey sex."

Lexie says Daniel has to tell Chelsea exactly what happened, "Give Chelsea time and maybe you'll get lucky and meet more of her relatives."

Melanie thanks Nick for convincing her to call Tiffany. Nick suggests they get to know each other.

Patch phones Stephanie. He tells her about his conversation with Trent, who is looking for her and Max.

Tiffany tells Max his sister is horrible. He tells her they just met. "You look cute when you're confused," says Tiffany.

"I guess that's why I always look cute," says Max. Tiff moves in and kisses him. Steam escapes from Stephanie's ears as she watches.

Daniel and Kate wonder if Chelsea will ever forgive them.

Chelsea fills Lexie in on Theo. She says she likes her job and getting to know the patients, but not the cafeteria food. Lexie advises, "There are two sides to every story: the truth and whatever crock you can make up to convince your husband you're not having a chain of affairs behind his back."

Trent is on the phone, "Relax, I will take care of it. Max may have found Melanie. I will handle it."

Patch tells Stephanie Trent knows Nick is with her. Stephanie is more interested in the calisthenics going on at Max' table. She rushes inside and Tiffany decides this would be a good time to scram. Max leaf's through the Guy Manual and comes up with, "I'm innocent! I didn't do anything." Stephanie decides to forgive his indiscretion, but cleans off his tainted lips before they go to work on each other.

Chelsea tells Kate and Daniel they are darn well going to tell her what went on.



On the show that aired Friday:

Salem Hospital! Where HIPA stands for "Healthcare Is Pretty Appalling." Lexie tells Theo Chelsea won't be there today. Theo remains silent. The rest of us wish Lexie would.

John storms up and informs Lexie, "Blondie is missing. There is a psychopath on the loose after her. And I think someone beside me is after her, too."

Marlena returns to her office. She tells Cynthia she can't go back home and flashes back to the attack. Marlena zones after Cynthia tells her Dora is waiting.

Kate and Daniel rationalize. "What's this world coming to if you can't be nice to your potential grandmainlaw," asks Kate.

"I feel like a dog," says Daniel.

"You ought to," says Kate, "since we were going at it like a couple of dogs."

Tony and Anna tell EJ they are moving in to the DiMera mansion. Anna says she thinks it's a mistake. So does EJ. Tony wants to reclaim what's his. He knows Stefano is alive but thinks he won't claim his empire because he is on the lam. EJ wants them to work together to push John out.

The odd couple and the oddball decide to talk. Kate and Daniel say they never wanted to hurt Chelsea. They assure her she and Daniel weren't together when it happened. Chelsea wonders how she will get past the fact that her boyfriend slept with her grandmother. Kate tries to be upbeat and reminds Chelsea she has a lot of experience with this kind of thing.

Lexie puts out an AHB* for Marlena. She reminds John, "We can't watch every patient, you know."

"Can you watch any of them," asks John, "Excuse my social skills but I'm concerned."

Dora meets Marlena and immediately claims not to be crazy, "My life is out of control and I don't know how much more I can take. My TIVO is stuck on DOOL. Everyone's deserting me. I almost feel paralyzed."

Zombie Marlena repeats, "PARALYZED."

"I'm afraid to face each new day," says Dora, "There's a rumor Prevuze may shut down." Marlena advises her to take charge and stop living in fear.

Tony refuses to back down. EJ thinks maybe he should listen to Anna. He has been making inroads with John and doesn't want Tony interfering. Tony thinks John is preoccupied with all that's hanging over his head. EJ thinks Tony is forgetting about Stefano, "We both know that Stefano won't' be gone for all the Days Of Our Lives."

Anna accepts a delivery. She hands the bill of lading to EJ who discovers the sign of the Phoenix on it.

John and Lexie continue to wonder where Marlena is. John goes off to find her.

Marlena tells Dora no one can fix this for her. Dora has to take control of her life. John busts in. Marlena tells him to get out. Dora runs like a scared bunny. John lectures Marlena for disappearing. Marlena tells him she can't live her life in fear. John assures her he will take care of her if she comes home with him. Marlena don' need no stinkin' help.

Daniel and Kate make excuses. They tell Chelsea about meeting after Daniel took himself off her case. Kate claims she didn't hit on him, "We were both in a very bad place and we turned to each other." Daniel says they won't make excuses. Then they proceed to make excuses. Kate says she thought Chelsea was still in love with Nick and thought if Chelsea got involved with Daniel she would get hurt. Daniel says he was afraid of the same thing. "What do you know," says Chelsea, "You were both right."

The mystery delivery contains fine liquor, cigars, opera CDs and sopranos DVDs. Tony thinks Stefano is trying to unnerve them. EJ thinks Stefano may be on his way back there. Tony doesn't think so, but says they should be ready. Anna runs off.

John thinks this is a test. Marlena says she was frightened and John doesn't understand. She realized she wasted months of her life and now she knows she has a future, "I want to live in my future."

"Where else did you plan to live it," asks John. Marlena has decided she has to make a clean break from John. John thinks she is being selfish. He suddenly realizes how important she is to him. Marlena wonders if that means he loves her. John doesn't know. He remembers how it felt the first time they made love at the plane crash site. Marlena thinks about that too. They both think it would have been a lot better if they both wouldn't have sprained their backs on impact. John claims he short circuited. Marlena says she has felt so alone. They slam themselves together and hug. John rolls his eyes and thinks, "That guy manual is worth its weight in gold." Hugging... Kissing... Panting...

Chelsea says she doesn't understand why they didn't just tell her if they thought they weren't doing anything wrong. Daniel says he thought it would be awkward. Kind of like right now. Kate gets a call and leaves. Daniel gets a look that would kill. Daniel says he wants just to move on, "I don't want to lose you... especially since I haven't met your mother yet."

Anna bawls. Tony tires to reassure her. He claims this isn't about money but about standing up for what it right. He wants the ruthless android out of the mansion. He'll worry about EJ later.

John and Marlena share a quickie. The earth moves and then John blows it by telling her this was all about winning her back. Marlena nukes. As they bicker, EJ calls John, "We have a situation at the mansion."

"I have a situation of my own," says John. He hangs up as Marlena leaves. She claims he isn't the man she was in love with . He demands she come home with him.

Chelsea accuses Daniel of being a player.

Tony tells Anna they won't have to live at the mansion for long.

John and Marlena return to the mansion together. John thinks they can have something better than before. He kisses her and she goes dizzy. Marlena makes excuses for why she agreed to come there and says it's only for one night.

As they go in, John finds the booty. Post booty booty.

Daniel and Kate work on Chelsea. She runs out.

Chelsea winds up back at the hospital where Lexie butts in. Chelsea tells her she and Daniel are finished.

John collects the loot. EJ comes in and tells them Tony has moved in and Stefano is probably not far behind. John says Stefano will claim his empire over his dead body.

Tony continues to try to reassure Anna. Stefano calls and tells Tony he's coming home.

Chelsea watches Theo play. She knows little Theo understands her. Their relationship will grow and she knows she can count on him. Chelsea leaves. Theo pulls Chelsea's Barbie doll out from under the table and gives her a meaningful hug. "She must never know about us," says Barbie.
